Ivywood Academy in Snellville, GA is looking for a passionate and dedicated GAPREK Lead Teacher (T4/T5) to join our growing team of early childhood educators. Responsibilities

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with GAPREK standards and guidelines Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all students Observe, document, and assess student progress and development in accordance with T4/T5 requirements Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding student growth and milestones Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support whole-child development goals Maintain accurate classroom records, portfolios, and required GAPREK documentation Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides as needed

Requirements

Must meet Georgia PREK (GAPREK) T4 or T5 teacher qualification requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred Prior experience in a lead teacher GA Pre-K setting Strong knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate instructional strategies Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills Ability to maintain required certifications, background checks, and health screenings Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education About Us: Ivywood Academy is a trusted early childhood education center serving families in Snellville, GA, dedicated to providing a high-quality, enriching learning experience for every child.
