About the role

The teacher implements age-appropriate learning activities and maintains a structured classroom environment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. They also serve as an RBT substitute to collect behavioral data and execute behavior reduction programs directed by a BCBA.

Description Pay rate will be $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (and based on education and experience)

Full-time position working 40 hours per week, includes insurance and time off benefits

Easterseals Florida is looking for a caring, energetic, and motivated ABA Classroom Teacher to join our extended care team in our ELITE program in Daytona. This role blends early childhood education with behavioral support, offering a meaningful opportunity to help children learn, grow, and thrive.

The Wrap Coach provides nurturing care, developmentally appropriate activities, and strong family communication—while also serving as an RBT substitute to implement ABA programs, collect data, and support behavior plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

What You’ll Do Support curriculum and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities Create a warm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that helps children feel safe and supported Communicate with parents, sharing updates, milestones, and daily highlights. Observe children’s developmental progress and adjust support based on individual needs Implement ABA-based skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs as directed by the BCBA Collect behavioral data, follow behavior intervention plans, and assist with general behavior management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom aligned with program standards Assist with curriculum support, classroom materials, and overall center cleanliness

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification Bilingual- Spanish or Creole (preferred not required) Experience with ABA; Classroom teacher experience (daycare or school) Experience working with young children (and children with special needs) in childcare or early learning settings Familiarity with Frog Street curriculum preferred Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Ability to obtain and maintain a Medicaid Provider Number Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

Requirements

Candidates should ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field and must possess an active RBT certification. Experience in childcare settings and familiarity with the Frog Street curriculum are preferred.
