The Goddard School of Hershey is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to join our professional early childhood education team.

Using our proprietary Wonder of Learning® program, you will create a nurturing, engaging classroom where infants and toddlers feel safe, supported, and inspired to explore.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field strongly preferred; candidates with a Child Development Associate credential will also be considered
  • Two to three years of experience in a licensed early childhood education setting preferred
  • Lead teacher or classroom leadership experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Patient, dependable, professional, and able to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all Pennsylvania-required child care clearances and background checks
  • Ability to meet licensing, health, and safety requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds while caring for and supervising children
  • Lead Teacher Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum
  • Provide responsive, individualized care that supports children’s routines and overall development
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, organized, and inclusive classroom
  • Build positive relationships with families and communicate regularly about children’s experiences and progress
  • Observe and document children’s development to guide classroom planning
  • Use positive guidance strategies that support social-emotional growth
  • Lead and support classroom team members while collaborating with school leadership
  • Follow all licensing, health, safety, and supervision requirements
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements
