Job Description: POSITION: Full-Time Nursing
Nursing Department; Division of Health Professions; Tenure Track; Lawrence Campus, (414 Common Street); 37.5 hours/week; MCCC/MTA Unit Faculty Position, Position based on funding.
The successful candidate will be expected to: Works as a member of the teaching teams to teach didactic lectures in any specialty such as Maternal/ Child health, Pediatrics, Psych, or Medical Surgical nursing, Skills Lab, and Pharmacology, in the classroom, clinical setting and clinical simulation laboratory. Participates in curriculum development, program accreditation, evaluation of students, computerized test development, student advising, program and college committees. Availability to teach in the clinical setting. Evaluate student performance in the classroom and clinical setting. Utilize a variety of appropriate teaching strategies to promote students' critical thinking Develop instructional material consistent with course objectives. Maintain expertise and currency in the area of nursing and teaching responsibility. Participate in College service activities. Comply with the duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.

An earned Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university Minimum 2 years of full-time employment in nursing within the past 5 years Evidence of clinical competence in area(s) of Medical Surgical Nursing Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing BLS Health Provider Level certification from AHA Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations Ability to work and collaborate in a team-teaching environment Candidate may be required to clear a 10-panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.
Highly experienced and skilled in undergraduate nursing curriculum and course development. Experience in simulation development, implementation, and evaluation would be a plus. Knowledge of ACEN accreditation standards and criteria; MA BORN Regulations for nursing programs. Face to Face, online, hybrid and or videoconferencing teaching experience. SALARY: Anticipated starting salary range is $77,865.00 - $87,076.00 (Rank of Assistant Professor with a master's degree) per academic year with complete fringe benefit package. Complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance, free dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits. Actual salary calculated in compliance with MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience. Official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.
