  • Category: EducationPipeline Program Advisor Responsibilities Identify, recruit, and serve an assigned caseload of Project Participants in 9th-12th grades Provide academic advising, college, career, financial literacy, and financial aid information and workshops to Project Participants Provide all 12th grade Project Participants with individual technical assistance with the college admissions and financial aid process Establish Project Participant files with required documentation Enter Project Participant demographics into the Project database Document all contacts with Project Participants on Individual and/or Group Service Logs Enter all contacts with Project Participants into the Project database. Generate daily, weekly, monthly demographic and contact reports from the Project database Assist Project Director to generate the Annual Performance Report. Adhere to agency and Project policies and procedures. Comply with grant and federal regulations QualificationsEducation Required  Bachelor’s Degree required in education, psychology, sociology, education, health care or behavioral health related field from an accredited college or university Knowledge and Ability  Knowledge of academic advising and college, career, financial aid and economic literacy activities and services for low-income and potential first generation college youth  Ability to effectively maintain a caseload of Project Participants and provide them with services and activities as indicated on their Individual Service Plans  Knowledge of basic computers skills including Microsoft Office  Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing  Ability to establish working relationships with school contacts  Knowledge of barriers to postsecondary education faced by low income and potential first generation college youth in the target area

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, or a behavioral health field is required. Candidates must have knowledge of barriers facing low-income and first-generation college students.
