• Responsibilities: Consults with classroom teachers to learn the specific needs of the course and the student before and during tutoring Emails teachers regularly to learn about individual progress of students Completes a weekly update on each student’s progress during tutoring and maintains communication with parents and teachers with regard to student progress through weekly e-mail or On Campus Official Note Maintains a log of communication on each individual student Attends divisional and JAC faculty meetings and general meetings Serves as an ambassador for FCDS Assists the Director of the
• JAC with any duties assigned
• QualificationsQualifications: Requires Bachelor’s degree or significant coursework in subject area; Master’s degree in education or subject area preferred Experience working with students with learning differences strongly preferred
• Essential functions: Regularly required to walk, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds Must be able to sit and stand throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children. Must be able to operate a computer and have basic knowledge of Google Workspace Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed Must be able to utilize oral and written communication skills effectively
