Market context

Ohio chaplain resident demand is steady

In Ohio, chaplain resident and Clinical Pastoral Education roles are typically tied to hospital and health system staffing needs, especially in settings that support patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. These roles are competitive because employers often look for a theology background, a bachelor’s degree, and prefer a Master of Divinity plus one unit of CPE. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save research time, then confirm your CPE status and prepare examples of pastoral care experience before applying.
