The Administrative Specialist II will be responsible for performing administrative duties by coordinating the daily operations of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Specialist II are the following: Provides administrative support to the department chairs, director, and other departmental administrators.
Coordinates supply orders as needed for the unit and for student groups.
Support in planning and organizing meetings, conferences, and events.
Assists with student engagement events as needed.
Supervises student assistants.
Schedules department classroom and meeting spaces.
Coordinates student awards and scholarships.
Supports department practicum/internship coordination as needed.
Supports department student organizations as needed.
Routes and tracks tasks to administrative and academic services teams.
Supports data collection for the department as needed.
Coordinates equipment maintenance, including all computers and copiers as needed.
Coordinates the department's internal control policies and procedures.
Attends regular college-wide meetings as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the department chairs and director.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
