Engagement: Assist in conducting classroom activities, preparing instructional materials, providing instruction, review, and practice of skills taught by the Classroom Teacher with individual and small groups of students. Assist in implementing treatment plan and individual education plan methods specific to each child. Assume Classroom Teacher’s duties in his/her absence.

Records: Assist with maintaining classroom and/or student records and documentation and contributes data for progress notes and individual treatment plans.

Relationships: Nurture children through one-on-one communication and care and maintain vigilant supervision. Reinforce instructional/behavioral objectives as needed to maintain an effective classroom learning environment.

Maintain the confidentiality of students and their families. Follow Agency and School Policies and Procedures. Support of Agency Goals. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma Required Experience/Skills: References that can depict level of interest in working with children who have behavioral issues. Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and software utilized by office.
