SUMMARY: This position will assist the Nursing Lab Coordinator/ Clinical Coordinator in organizing, stocking, and taking inventory of supplies in the Clinical Skills Lab.

Responsible for assisting clinical lab coordinator as directed. Assist 1st and 2nd year nursing students in open skills lab with basic nursing skills. Assist with lab setup and cleanup for all open labs as assigned. Clean and maintain simulation equipment as assigned. Manage the check-in spreadsheet. Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating files and record keeping systems. Generate reports, memorandums, correspondence, presentation materials, spreadsheets and graphics, and other materials using various software programs. Assist with special events and functions as needed. May be responsible for greeting visitors, as well as answering and routing incoming calls. Handle documents and maintain appropriate confidentiality. Provide GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers. Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values. Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be a 3rd or 4th year Nursing student. Successful completion of Nursing Assessment course. Complete training and be proficient in the use of lab equipment. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours as an undergraduate student or 3 credit hours as a graduate student while meeting the standards of academic progress. Experience in office setting preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with computerized data systems (PC and mainframe). Excellent interpersonal skills that transcend diverse audiences; communicating to university customers with positive attitudes toward change, confidentiality, and conflict resolution. Demonstrated motivational and problem solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the University. Business office environment. Prolonged sitting and standing. Use of personal computer and telephone (eye and hand strain). Some travel between locations may be required (own transportation).
