Expected Hours and Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, partial year position (approx.

Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.

Responsibilities and Duties: Assist teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff Implement active supervision strategies Assist children with individual education plans Assist in lesson planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment for the classroom Implement screenings and assessments Data entry

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required Working towards CDA to be completed within two years of hire (required) Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) Experience working with young children (required) 2+ Years of experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred) Experience working with at-risk population and/or Head Start experience (preferred) The successful candidate will be: compassionate, organized, flexible, a good communicator, a team player Physical abilities: Must be able to lift 30 pounds independently without assistance Norwescap provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
