We are seeking a School Social Worker to support the Laradon School.
Reporting to the School Director, this role will support Laradon’s mission by working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health and behavioral services that strengthen student skills and decrease barriers to learning.
Provides support to classrooms, students, and their families.
No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities: Provide school-based counseling services to Laradon students in one on one and group settings.
Develop and implement affective education student groups.
Collaborate with student families, school, and district teams in the development of Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and behavior intervention plans (BIP).
Administer, score, and interpret social emotional/behavioral assessments and gather developmental histories for IEPs.
Plan, organize and produce school wide programs that promote positive student behaviors and school culture.
Maintain records and complete documentation according to Laradon procedures, Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) rules.
Provide consultation and support to classrooms regarding mental health, trauma informed care and behavioral interventions.
