We are a provider of after-school volleyball classes for Grades K–3 across the elementary schools throughout the Bay Area. Currently, we are seeking dedicated coaches and assistant coaches to join our team. This part-time position involves teaching volleyball to elementary school children, managing classes, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Can manage a class size of 8 - 16 students with ages ages 5-10 years old Teach the volleyball class using provided lesson plans.
Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program. Transport sports equipment to and from class and set up the necessary equipment.
Take attendance, sign in, and sign out students for each class. Interact with parents and school office staff as necessary. Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.
Capture a few pictures each session of kids in action.
Must be 19+ years old upon application submission. Previous teaching or playing experience in volleyball is preferred but not required. Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills. Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Resilient, positive attitude. Must have the ability to work independently and within a small team. Must have own car and valid driver's license to use at work Willingness to undergo a live scan background check and TB test before working. Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Programs are in multiple cities across the bay area and candidates must be readily available and living in the Bay Area.
Classes are 1 - 1.5 hours long, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Work two or more days per week, with a maximum of 2-5 hours per week.
Candidates must be local to the US or already have a necessary working VISA as the employer does not provide any Visa assistance to applicants.
