Rise Kohyang High School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Cheer Coach to lead and oversee all aspects of the school’s cheer program. The Cheer Coach will be responsible for developing student-athletes both on and off the sidelines by promoting athletic excellence, academic achievement, leadership, teamwork, school spirit, and sportsmanship. The successful candidate will create a positive, inclusive, and energetic environment that supports the educational mission of Rise Kohyang High School and its athletic department while building a strong and competitive cheer program. What You’ll Do: Lead all aspects of the Rise Kohyang High School Cheer program, including tryouts, team selection, practice planning, choreography, game-day preparation, and supervision of student-athletes. Develop student-athletes by promoting teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, school spirit, and athletic excellence while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. Attend practices (minimum of three times per week during the season), supervise home games and team events, travel with the team as needed, and ensure compliance with school, league, and CIF regulations. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff through ParentSquare, prioritizing student health, safety, and well-being at all times. Collaborate with the Athletic Director to oversee the cheer program, with previous high school or club cheer coaching experience preferred.
