  • Position/Summary: The CTE Computer Science Teacher delivers high-quality instruction in computer science and related career-technical education pathways. This role focuses on preparing students with the technical, professional, and problem-solving skills needed for success in technology careers or postsecondary programs. The teacher designs engaging, standards-aligned curriculum that integrates real-world application and career readiness competencies.

  • Expectations (How we measure success): Design and deliver lessons aligned with state CTE standards and computer science frameworks Incorporate project-based learning, hands-on labs, and real-world problem-solving activities Provides timely academic feedback to students Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners Actively participates in TAP teacher evaluation system Uses formative, summative, and standardized assessments to inform instruction Seeks to improve performance through professional development Keeps accurate grade and attendance records Builds a classroom culture that fosters belongingness and safety for students Communicates consistently and frequently with parents/guardians Builds effective relationships with teachers, students and staff
