Market context

Ohio guidance counselor market context

In Ohio, guidance counselor roles are commonly tied to K-12 student support, academic planning, and data-informed advising, so schools often look for candidates with school counseling experience and strong record-keeping skills. These positions can be competitive because districts value applicants who can balance student support, scheduling, and compliance needs; a master’s degree and valid state licensure or certification are often preferred.
