Purpose statement Grand Peak Academy is seeking a kindergarten elementary teacher for the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year, beginning on January 6, 2025! This teacher will join a committed team of educators to strengthen the foundation of an extraordinary school. In their daily practice, GPA teachers will develop and implement a curriculum that meets all students' needs, cultivate a culture that encourages young learners and leaders, and leverage data and evidence-based teaching practices. Essential Functions ● Provide an inviting, exciting, inclusive, and joyful classical learning environment; ● Participate wholeheartedly in professional development and enrich expertise in the subject area; ● Develop curriculum and lesson plans that are rigorous, clear, measurable, and aligned with Colorado Standards and GPA's instructional approaches; ● Embrace school initiatives and curriculum including Core Knowledge, CKLA, CKH, and Eureka Math in planning for and teaching a diverse classroom of students with a wide variety of learning styles, needs and behaviors; ● Follow the school's policies and procedures for student conduct, discipline, and social emotional development; ● Form meaningful relationships with families and involve parents in their children's education.
● Demonstrated success in teaching ● Must have a Colorado State license or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a passing score on the Praxis exam in your area of concentration (Elementary Education, Music, Technology, Physical Education, etc.) or must qualify under ESSA. ● Successfully complete a background check Compensation We offer a competitive compensation package which includes comprehensive health benefits, some of which are employer paid and employees have the opportunity to select different plans. $50,141-$65,464 This position will be for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
