Learn It Systems is looking for highly qualified, LA Special Educatoin certified, Part-Time Teachers for our Title I Reading & Math Instructional Program. We currently have K-5, MS, HS Special Education classroom positions throughout Orleans Parish for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need. In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a program supervisor, on site coordinator, fellow teachers and classroom teachers working with a diverse population of students. This team works with the School District of New Orleans to deliver the highest-quality education services in reading and mathematics to students in a small group learning environment. As a Title I Teacher you will be implementing program components and communicating and working closely with school personnel and parents. As a Special Education Teacher you will: Determine students’ needs through use of appropriate assessments Adapt the teaching curriculum and learning activities to meet the needs of all students and address their specific abilities; Make accommodations as necessary and suggested by school administrators and staff Be able to determine how to best present information and instructional material to different students; Have an array of adjustments and resource options Use IEPs, if available, to asses and track students’ progress against goals Become familiar with resources and adaptations developed to assist students in their learning Title 1 Teachers are part of a collaborative team, working with students who qualify for Title I instructional support in addition to their regular classroom time. Responsibilities also include: collaborating regularly with the school administrators and classroom teachers to identify specific academic skills and needs of Title I students, administering pre and post assessments, delivering effective instruction in a small group setting, consistent communication, tracking student progress data are essential to the position. Effective classroom management, creative lesson planning, escorting students to and from the Title I classroom, providing a safe and positive learning environment are also key responsibilities. Teacher candidates must be effective and flexible educators, solution oriented, creative planners and positive thinkers.
Active Louisiana Teacher Certification preferred Experience working with Special Education or Title I students Effective lesson planning and delivery of instruction for reading and math Experience with ALL grade levels K-5, Middle School and High School preferred Computer proficiency required Organization and accurate documentation skills is necessary Be highly organized in what can sometimes be a chaotic environment Ability to provide a high level of customer service to principals, classroom teachers, and parents Must be able to lift 30 pounds Work location is in a school building where employee will need to be able to go up and down stairs Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head Hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer At Learn It Systems, we believe it’s our people that set us apart.
