The Department of Social Work at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for fall 2026 to teach MSW 540 Field Instruction I. The course is a 3-unit class, has one 2-hour class each week of the 15-week semester [https://www.csusm.edu/academic_programs/files/academiccalendars/2026-27_academic_calendar_updated10.2025.pdf], and is taught in a hybrid format (half of the courses will be online and the others are in-person at the San Marcos campus). The course is scheduled for Tuesdays 8:30am-10:20am and also involves site visits with student practicum agencies.
First course of a foundation two-semester sequence. Supervised practice in a social services or related agency developing basic micro, mezzo, and macro skills with an emphasis on culturally informed social work practice. Field seminar and 16 hours weekly supervised agency field experience.
$5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
