About the role

The Special Needs Liaison evaluates speech, language, and developmental screenings to determine the need for special education. They collaborate with parents and school districts to implement intervention plans and IEP/IFSP goals.

Utah Community Action of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking to hire a Special Needs Liaison. This is a full-time, year-round, benefit-eligible position.

Position Summary

The Special Needs Liaison is responsible for assisting in the evaluation and assessment of speech/language and developmental screenings. This position will collaborate with local school districts, staff, and parents to determine if further evaluation for special education is needed. They support teaching staff in developing and implementing intervention plans and implementing IFSP and Individualized Education Plan goals.

Pay and Benefits This Special Needs Liaison position earns a competitive wage of at least 27.70/hour. We also offer generous benefits that you have year-round, including health, dental, vision, a flexible spending account (FSA), a healthcare spending account (HSA) with up to a $2,500 match, a 401k plan with 5% match, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, life insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, paid time off (PTO) up to 192 hours a year, and an hour of paid time on Fridays for self-care.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development or Special Education One year of experience working in an early childhood setting with children who have special needs Valid driver's license
