Jovie is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide in-home respite care for children with disabilities and neurodivergent children throughout San Diego. This rewarding part-time position is perfect for childcare professionals, behavior technicians, special education aides, nursing students, and experienced caregivers who are looking for meaningful after-school work with flexible scheduling.
Pay: $18–$20/hour + Sibling Care Bonuses
Experience may come from nannying, babysitting, respite care, ABA therapy, behavioral intervention, daycare, preschool, special education classrooms, camps, church nursery, or other childcare settings.

What ages will I care for? Assignments vary by family but primarily involve school-age children and teens with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, or other support needs.
Will I work with one family or multiple families? Depending on your availability, you may work consistently with one family or be matched with multiple families throughout your area.
What schedule is available? Most families are looking for caregivers who can work weekday afternoons after school, with shifts typically lasting 4–6 hours. Weekend opportunities may also be available.
Is training provided? Yes! We provide orientation, ongoing support, employer-sponsored CPR & First Aid certification, and additional guidance to help you feel confident and successful.
