About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate Special Education Permit Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support for students with disabilities. You’ll implement IEPs, manage classroom behavior, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
What You’ll Do
Deliver individual and small-group instruction aligned with the general education curriculum
Prepare and manage IEPs in collaboration with families and IEP teams
Apply classroom modifications, accommodations, and behavior interventions
Consult with teachers and staff to support student learning
Participate in Child Study, eligibility, and interdisciplinary team meetings
Maintain accurate student records and track progress
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in education
Special education certification or eligibility for a special education permit
Knowledge of K-12 special education requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools
Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
