Pay

$66,000 - $68,000 annually based on experience

Location: Buffalo, NY

Schedule

  • Monday –
  • Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 37.5 hrs./week

Your Impact as a School Nurse

  • The School Nurse promotes wellness for students and staff by providing medical care, health education, and preventive services. Responsibilities include coordinating medical interventions, offering guidance on health-related issues, and ensuring compliance with NY State Education Department and agency policies.
  • Health supervision of students
  • Health supervision of employees
  • Administer medications or treatments to students, as directed by a physician
  • Maintain the Health Office supplies and equipment
  • Monitor student attendance
  • Complete daily and monthly tasks
  • Complete annual tasks
  • Assure that professional responsibilities are fulfilled
  • Perform any other duties as requested by your supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Associate's Degree in Nursing and 2 years experience in a school setting

  • Certificates, licenses, registrations etc.
  • Duly Licensed by New York State Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner
  • CPR Certification

Requirements

Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience in a school setting. A New York State RN or Nurse Practitioner license and CPR certification are required.
