The Youth Assistant supports middle school, high school, and pre-teen ministries by assisting with weekly gatherings and building relationships with students. Responsibilities include managing youth services, coordinating volunteers, and performing administrative tasks.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to connect with students, parents, and volunteers. Experience working with youth (in church, camp, school, or volunteer setting). Available for a non-traditional schedule including Sundays and weekday evenings. Additional
1–2 years of paid or significant volunteer experience in youth ministry or discipleship. Experience leading small groups or mentoring students. Basic media, or tech skills (ProPresenter, or sound/video helpful). Group management skills such as leading games, making announcements, and hosting events. Ability to assist with volunteer coordination and training. Comfort speaking or teaching in front of groups. Comfortable using Planning Center and/or similar volunteer or scheduling platforms.
