Based on course content, wages will range from $1,297.00 per credit to $3,753.00 per credit.

In certain instances, due to low enrollment, faculty payment will be based on part-time per credit pay and pro-rated on a 10% per student basis.

Part-time employees also receive some benefits depending on the number of hours worked.

Job Description

Aims Community College actively supports an environment that embraces the College's Mission, Vision, Values and a culture of innovation and care. The Early College Academy at Aims Community College is a partnership with Weld County District 6. The Early College High School program gives high school students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while subsequently earning an Associate of Arts degree. Occasional travel may be required. Job Duties: Maintain compliance with the requirements of the Early College assignment, including contract days, work-day schedule, and participating in Early College events such as New Student Orientation, Student Registration, In-Service Days and Parent/Teacher Conferences as specified in the Early College Faculty contract addendum. Maintain compliance with the provisions of the College’s part-time faculty position description including teaching to develop, implement, evaluate and update the purpose, philosophy, objectives and organizational framework of the program. Maintain compliance regarding all faculty responsibilities enumerated in the College Policies and Procedures. Provide effective and high-quality instruction in all levels of course offerings by continually refining and modernizing curriculum so that it remains educationally sound and meets the high standards of the College. Use alternative delivery technology in lecture and laboratory instruction to enhance student learning. Apply learning-centered educational practices such as creating and communicating clearly defined outcomes for student learning. Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Hours: Monday-Friday at Early College Academy. Some evenings for parent/teacher conferences and other school activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in business administration with information technology emphasis, computer information systems, or computer science plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR Master's degree including 18 graduate level credit hours in one of the disciplines they will be teaching plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR Bachelor's degree in a computer related field plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years OR Associate of Applied Science degree in a computer related field plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years.

Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.

Preferred Qualifications

K-12 teaching experience Experience with concurrent enrollment or dual enrollment programs Experience using technology in the classroom, or teaching online

Faculty

Upon hire, must submit academic transcripts from an accredited institution. Applicants who have degrees from outside of the United States must request a credential evaluation of their transcript. National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (www.naces.org) or Association of International Credential Evaluators (www.aice-eval.org) lists members who may be contacted for assistance in evaluating foreign credentials. All required documents need to be submitted on every application. There is no way for Aims to attach these documents in the process. However, upon hire current Aims Community College Faculty are not required to submit transcripts if official transcripts are already on file. Aims Community College is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in a computer-related field with 2,000 hours of industry experience, or a Bachelor's/Associate degree with 4,000 hours of industry experience. Preferred candidates have K-12 teaching experience and familiarity with dual enrollment programs.
