Provide Bilingual educational evaluations to students in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct bilingual assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver educational support to help students improve their skills and access their education. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes. Use both formal and informal tools to monitor academic and behavioral performance, then updating IEP goals based on this data. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes general education teachers, parents, school counselors, speech therapists, and administrators to provide holistic support. Coordinate special education documentation, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring legal compliance with federal and state regulations like the Individuals with Disabilities Act. Implement behavior intervention plans, utilizing positive reinforcement, and managing classroom crises to create a safe learning environment.
Requires fluency in a second language and a current Indiana Department of Education Professional Educator's License with a Special Education endorsement. Must pass criminal and DCS background checks.
