About the role

Provide individual, family, and group therapy to elementary students within a school setting and via telehealth. Manage clinical documentation, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with school personnel and parents to support student success.

Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS) is seeking compassionate, licensed mental health professionals to join our growing School-Based Mental Health Program serving elementary school students through our partnership with Prince George's County Public Schools for the 2026–2027 school year.

What You'll Do As a member of our School-Based Mental Health team, you will: Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to elementary school students in the school setting, with telehealth services provided when clinically appropriate.

Maintain the required minimum weekly billable service expectation while delivering quality, client-centered care.

Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Develop and update individualized treatment plans in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Identify additional service needs and coordinate referrals for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychiatric rehabilitation services (PRP), or other community resources when appropriate.

Collaborate with parents, guardians, teachers, school personnel, and multidisciplinary treatment providers to support student success.

Participate in individual supervision, group supervision, clinical staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with Maryland licensing regulations and organizational policies.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the School-Based Program.

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.

Active Maryland license in good standing: LMSW LCSW-C LGPC LCPC LCMFT Experience working with children, adolescents, or families preferred.

Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Ability to successfully complete federal and state background checks.

Professional liability insurance (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in a behavioral health field and an active Maryland license (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, or LCMFT). Candidates must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass federal and state background checks.
