About the role

Deliver high-quality classroom and hands-on instruction to students in the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program. Prepare students for national certification and entry-level healthcare careers by teaching essential clinical skills.

Overview

GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Career Technical Training Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for delivering highquality, hands-on and classroom instruction to students enrolled in the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program. This includes teaching essential clinical skills such as vital signs, EKG, and phlebotomy, while preparing students for national certification and entry-level healthcare careers.

Qualifications

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification. No substitutions.
  • One (1) year of experience in a related field.
  • License of Practical Nurse issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. COMPETENCIES

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Certificates, licenses, registrations
  • Must possess and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification and a License of Practical Nurse from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. At least one year of related experience and a current CPR certification are required.
