Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center in Clarkston is seeking a passionate and dedicated GSRP Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.

As the Lead GSRP Teacher you will plan and execute a program of activities that is developmentally appropriate and meets the individual needs of each child utilizing the High Scope curriculum.

You will foster strong family partnerships and collaborate with staff to ensure every child is prepared for future success.

Position detail: Timeline: 2026-2027 school year Status: Regular, full-time (benefit eligible) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:45am-3:45pm Desired start: Monday, August 17, 2026, or sooner Pay range: $25-$30/hour, (based on degree and years of experience) Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching; or A Valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement CPR Certification required (can be completed within 30 days of hire) Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Childcare Licensing guidelines for ECE teachers Must have full-time availability and reliable transportation Ability to pass background check (fingerprinting) Paid professional development Free Telehealth (day 1) Childcare discount Medical, dental, vision, disability insurance Aflac Supplemental Insurance EAP Employee Assistance Plan Paid time off 401K with company match Paid Planning Time Referral bonuses Annual performance reviews and increases Free breakfast, lunch, and snacks Birthday benefits Choice of summer's off or continue working our summer camp program Why Join Our Team Our Clarkston campus has earned a Certificate of Recognition from Great Start Quality, (the equivalent of a five-star rating) and has been voted Clarkston readers’ choice Best of the Best.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a valid Michigan teaching certificate with specific ECE endorsements. CPR certification and the ability to pass a background check are required.
