Position Summary: and Responsibilities
Working from your home office within Utah, certified teachers will utilize the Pearson Online Classroom to support and motivate students in working through their curriculum, deliver synchronous instruction, provide intervention and enrichment, and use data to diagnose student learning needs.
The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:
Maintain high expectations for every student and provide the support each student needs to succeed.
Deliver engaging instruction through live lessons, recorded lessons, individual support, and targeted interventions.
Provide timely, clear, and meaningful feedback on student work, complete progress reports, and participate in parent conferences.
Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff about student progress, learning plans, assignments, and instructional support.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the curriculum and courses assigned.
Use student data to adjust instruction, provide differentiated support, and implement interventions with the school team.
Provide individualized instruction, accommodations, and learning strategies to help students meet their academic goals.
Build positive, productive relationships with students and families to support student success.
Collaborate with colleagues to monitor student progress, solve problems, and improve instruction.
Work with teachers, specialists, and support staff to develop and implement interventions and enrichment opportunities.
Maintain accurate student records, attendance, communication logs, and other required documentation.
Partner with school counselors and other support staff to ensure students receive appropriate academic and social-emotional support.
Participate in school events, field trips, testing, and other required school activities.
Foster a positive and connected virtual school community through meaningful student and family engagement.
Participate in required professional learning and pursue ongoing professional growth.
Assist with state testing administration as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
