About the role

Provide loving care and implement age-appropriate curricula to support the cognitive, social, and physical development of toddlers. Maintain a safe, sanitized classroom environment while managing daily routines and communicating progress to families.

Implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that support cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development. Foster a positive, nurturing classroom where children feel secure, loved, and encouraged to explore. Support developmental milestones, including walking, talking, self-feeding, and early communication skills. Perform diaper changes according to state licensing regulations while maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene procedures. Follow individualized feeding schedules and assist children during meals and snacks while encouraging healthy eating habits and self-feeding skills. Maintain consistent daily routines for naps, meals, diapering, play, and learning activities. Comfort children during transitions, separation anxiety, and emotional moments with patience and compassion. Supervise children at all times and maintain active engagement throughout the day. Encourage language development through reading, singing, conversation, and interactive play. Plan and lead sensory activities, music and movement, art, outdoor play, and hands-on learning experiences. Observe and document each child's developmental progress and communicate milestones or concerns with leadership. Build positive relationships with families through daily communication about each child's day, including meals, naps, diapering, and activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom, including toys, learning materials, sleeping areas, and changing stations. Work collaboratively with co-teachers and leadership to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning environment. Follow all health, safety, licensing, and company policies and procedures. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Assist other classrooms as needed while maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.

Requirements

The candidate must be able to follow state licensing regulations for hygiene and safety while fostering a nurturing environment. Flexibility and a collaborative attitude are required to work with co-teachers and leadership.
