Overview As a Yoga Instructor, this position will be responsible for developing and teaching a weekly yoga class to students on the TUC campus including faculty, staff and students of all levels. The goal is to promote wellness and stress management within the campus community. This position is responsible for supporting students before, during and after class by creating an inclusive, inviting experience for all participants.
● Teach one 55-minute yoga class per week for a minimum of 48 weeks (about 11 months) per year. ● Serve the community and provide a consistent safe space for all to practice by educating students on alignment, offering modifications for postures as appropriate, and consistently using cueing ● Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students of all levels and backgrounds, and offer support and encouragement throughout their yoga journey● Perform specific cleaning tasks as assigned to ensure standards of cleanliness are observed to ensure student and employee safety● Set up classroom appropriately: Props, Mat Spacing, Music, Lighting● Must be able to move around the studio space, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25lbs
● Current CPR/AED certification required● Certificate from a recognized, minimum 200-hour yoga teacher training in person/online● Excellent oral communication skills, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills● Ability to lead students in physical activity for a maximum 1 hour at a time Maximum Salary USD $50.00/Hr. Minimum Salary USD $50.00/Hr.
Candidates must hold a current CPR/AED certification and a minimum 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate. Strong communication skills and the physical ability to lead activity and lift up to 25lbs are required.
