About the role

The Assistant Flag Football Coach provides on-field coaching for both fall and spring seasons under the supervision of the Head Coach. They are also responsible for participating in key campus events and ensuring compliance with NCAA and conference regulations.

Description

Under the supervision of the Head Flag Football Coach, the Assistant Flag Football Coach is responsible for on-field coaching for the fall non-traditional season and spring traditional season with other duties as assigned by the head coaches and/or Executive Director of Athletics. Position responsibilities must be completed in accordance with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, College, Empire 8, NCAA, and other related association rules and regulations. This is a part-time, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities

On-field coaching for the fall non-traditional season and spring traditional season. Additional duties as assigned by the head coaches and/or Executive Director of Athletics. Participate in significant campus activities including Welcome Weekend, True Blue Weekend, and Commencement Weekend. Comply with all applicable College, Federal, State, local, NCAA, Empire 8 Conference, and College Department, associational laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Must complete and pass the NCAA Rules Test. As a representative of the College, must comport oneself in a professional manner at all times, both on and off campus. No inappropriate relationships with students. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Playing and/or previous coaching experience preferred Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of the sport Being up to date with safety, rules and regulations and proper certifications Ability to provide academic guidance and mentoring to student-athletes Ability to multi-task and handle a job with a daily change of pace Ability to use independent action, estimating skill, memory, and problem-solving skills Clean driving record and a valid drivers’ license CPR/First Aid/AED Certification Wage Range: $16.25

Requirements
