Position Summary

The Resource Teacher supports lead and assistant teachers by providing classroom coverage, assisting with lesson implementation, supervising children, and promoting a positive learning environment. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a passion for early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Support Provide coverage in infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classrooms as needed.
  • Assist teachers with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
  • Foster positive interactions and model appropriate behavior.
  • Child Care & Safety Ensure children's health, safety, and well-being in accordance with licensing regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and rest time routines.
  • Respond appropriately to children's needs and emergencies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environments.
  • Curriculum & Learning Support educational activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and school readiness.
  • Engage children through play-based learning experiences.
  • Prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
  • Observe and communicate children's progress and developmental milestones to classroom teachers.
  • Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Assist with special events, school activities, and transitions throughout the day.
  • Promote a positive and professional school culture.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred. Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or daycare setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in multiple infant classrooms and adapt to changing needs. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Requirements
