About the role

The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing engaging learning experiences and maintaining a nurturing classroom environment. They must support children's holistic development while building strong relationships with families and mentoring assistant teachers.

As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you'll create and lead a classroom where children feel safe, loved, confident, and excited to explore the world around them.

This position is for a Lead Teacher. All applicants must meet Pennsylvania Lead Teacher qualifications.

  • A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or another Pennsylvania-approved equivalent) from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Experience working with toddlers (12–36 months) in a licensed childcare or preschool setting is required.
  • Previous experience leading a toddler classroom is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers.
  • Reliable, dependable, and professional with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with the care of young children.
  • Must successfully complete all required Pennsylvania state background clearances and licensing requirements.
  • Come help shape the earliest and some of the most important chapters of a child's life.
