The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in planning and leading practices and training sessions to develop student-athletes. They are responsible for mentoring players, managing game-day operations, and ensuring a safe, competitive environment.
Bryant & Stratton College is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in developing a positive, competitive, and growth-focused program. The Assistant Coach will help plan and conduct practices, assist during competitions, mentor student-athletes, and promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading practices and training sessions.
Teach and reinforce sport-specific skills, techniques, and strategies.
Support athletes in developing their physical, mental, and personal growth.
Assist with game-day preparation, competition management, and post-game evaluations.
Monitor athlete attendance, performance, and progress.
Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect.
Help maintain equipment and ensure a safe practice and competition environment.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and program staff.
Assist with team travel, scheduling, fundraising, and other program activities as needed.
Follow all league, school, and organizational rules, policies, and safety procedures.
