Springside Chestnut Hill Academy is accepting applications for the following coaching positions for the Fall 2026 season: Soccer: Upper School, JV Assistant (Boys) Coach Middle School, JV Assistant (Boys) Coach Middle School, JV Assistant (Girls) Coach Field Hockey: Middle School Assistant Coach Tennis: Middle School Assistant Coach Golf: Middle School Assistant Coach Cross Country: Upper School Varsity Assistant Coach Position Purpose The successful candidates will be coaches who are willing to develop our scholar-athletes while demonstrating strong character, professionalism, relational skills, and who are positive role models appropriately utilizing the platform of their sport.
The fall season begins in August and runs through November.
Essential Functions Organizes tryouts and all practices.
Helps players understand the program objectives.
Communicates clear expectations to the players and parents.
Represents the school in a manner that exhibits and promotes SCH's mission.
Develops positive, productive relationships with the entire SCH community.
Keeps accurate attendance records.
Keeps the Athletic Director informed of problems and/or concerns.
Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or his designee.
For Upper School coaching positions, varsity high school playing experience is required, and college playing experience preferred. Prior coaching experience is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Positive role model, mentor, and teacher of the sport. Must provide instruction to instill a strong work ethic, responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, leadership, and self-confidence in players. Must be able to deal with a diverse array of contacts. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Must be available for all practices and competitions during the coaching season. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
