As a Classroom Teacher at the Julien Bucher Center in Bonner's Ferry, you'll create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where young children develop the skills they need to thrive. In this role, you'll plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences using the program curriculum, complete child screenings and assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and support each child's individual growth. You'll build strong partnerships with families through regular communication, home visits, and parent-teacher conferences while collaborating with Family Advocates, supervisors, and specialists to ensure children receive the support they need. You'll also participate in professional development, mentor new staff and volunteers, and contribute to the daily success of the center.

Education: Level I: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, or Child Development, OR Associates degree in any other field of study AND: the equivalent of a major in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• One year experience (256 hours minimum) as a staff or volunteer in a preschool classroom with at least 10 children.
Register with Idaho STARS and participate in the professional development system.
Meet all training and certification requirements for child care licensing and Head Start Program Performance Standards.
Maintain current Infant/child & Adult CPR and First Aid.
Pass an enhanced criminal background check including fingerprinting, as required by Head Start Program Performance Standards and Child Care Licensing requirements, prior to first day of work.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check and proof of degree if required for this position.
