Assist certificated staff in educating students with cognitive, communication, and behavioral disabilities through instructional support and behavior management. Provide direct care including hygiene, feeding, and physical transfers while implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP).
This position may require the ability to use SMART boards and iPads in addition to basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, and fax machine. Must always comply with USD 259's guidelines for equipment use.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED, with additional college credits or a state-approved assessment for those in Title Schools. Some positions may require specialized skills such as sign language, Braille, or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification.
