Plan and implement Florida's Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) curriculum in alignment with state standards Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for preschool-aged children Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Observe, document, and track student progress and developmental milestones Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and classroom activities Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate learning space Collaborate with lead teachers and center staff to support overall classroom and center goals
Florida VPK certification or Child Care Staff Credential required Experience working with preschool or early childhood education (ages 3-5) preferred Knowledge of Florida VPK program standards and early childhood best practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening as required by Florida DCF High school diploma or equivalent required; AA or degree in Early Childhood Education a plus
