Substitute teachers provide core instruction for preschool through 5th grade using provided lesson plans. They are responsible for student support, following behavior protocols, and managing administrative tasks like attendance.

Substitute teachers at AXIS will provide core instruction to grades Preschool - 5th utilizing lesson plans provided by classroom teachers. Partner language substitutes will provide coverage in French, Mandarin, and/or Spanish classes, as well as ELA if desired.
Substitutes must posses either a Bachelor's Degree or have received a CDE Substitute Authorization. Prior teaching experience is preferred Ability to reflect upon teaching practices and respond to constructive feedback Proven willingness and ability to collaborate with a diverse community of colleagues, parents/guardians and community members. Partner language substitutes must have basic proficiency in French, Mandarin, or Spanish.
