The adjunct faculty member will provide instruction for Chemical Dependency courses, creating and following syllabi aligned with master course standards. Responsibilities include managing course materials via the LMS, maintaining office hours, and submitting student progress reports and grades.
Master’s Degree in Addiction Studies, Human Services, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution is required. Nurse Practitioners with a substance abuse specialization will also be considered. Possession of CASAC (credentialed alcohol and drug abuse substance counselor credential), or the ability to obtain a CASAC within one year of placement is required. Clinical experience in the field of addiction services or counseling is required. Experience teaching college-level courses is required.
Experience teaching in an accredited higher education institution, especially a community college, is preferred. EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE: For Adjunct Faculty, rates are found in the most recent adjunct contract. For each credit, the Fall 2026 entry pay rate is $1,146 - $1,209 dependent upon qualifications.
