The Sports Coach is responsible for planning and leading daily sports instruction for elementary and middle school students during the U1 Enrich to 6 After-School Program. Coaches create a fun, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment where students improve their athletic skills while building confidence and enjoying physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead engaging sports activities for students in grades K–8.
Teach age-appropriate skills, rules, and game concepts.
Create a safe, energetic, and inclusive learning environment.
Adapt instruction to varying skill levels.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect.
Build positive relationships with students.
Assist with transitions, setup/breakdown, and equipment.
Collaborate with Program Leaders, Academic Success Coaches, and specialty instructors.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience coaching or working with youth.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
College student or degree in Education, PE, Kinesiology or related field.
Coaching certifications.
CPR/First Aid.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Schedule Monday–Friday | Approximately 3: 00–6:00 PM | 10–15 hrs/week

Compensation Competitive hourly rate.
