Purpose To ensure that all enrolled children are of well care within established program compliance deadlines in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards, Missouri State Licensing Regulations and local agency requirements.
Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities No formal responsibility. The policies associated with the job's purpose, essential responsibilities and operation is set by others.
Routine Decision-Making Determine if follow up is necessary based on review of child's health information. Determine in-house screening schedule to ensure compliance deadlines are met for assigned caseload.
Required Knowledge Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards, Missouri licensing requirements related to child health, and Head Start operating policies and procedures related to health and nutrition services. Knowledge with Microsoft office products, Adobe, scanning and attaching documents.
Required Skills or Abilities Ability to input data accurately into the Child Plus database system, retrieve and analyze reports. Exhibit exceptional customer service skills with staff, parents, program participants and other staff. Ability to organize and execute multiple tasks with ease.
Formal Education High school education or GED Three to five years' experience in a school setting and/or Head Start program. CNA or MA preferred. Unusual Working Conditions, If Any Must be able to lift 35 pounds and provide supervision over 3 to 4 children while the children are in the custody of Health Services. Reliable transportation is required for the position as immediate assistance or intervention could be required at any of the YWCA centers to ensure program compliance is met and maintained.
