  • Category: CoachingThe Bolles School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Seasonal Assistant Rowing Coach. This part-time, seasonal position is ideal for someone who is passionate about rowing, eager to share their knowledge with student-athletes, and committed to continuous learning and professional growth. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, adaptability, and a positive attitude while contributing to a collaborative coaching environment. A sense of humor and a genuine commitment to student-athlete development are highly valued. This is a seasonal stipend position. Practice schedules may vary throughout the season but are generally held
  • Monday through
  • Friday from 3:00–6:00 p.m., with Saturday morning practices and regattas as scheduled. Essential Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and executing daily practices and race-day operations. Carry out coaching assignments and race-day responsibilities as directed. Teach rowing fundamentals, racing rules, and proper boathouse procedures. Promote and enforce safe practices on the water and within the boathouse. Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient boathouse environment. Assist with team travel logistics and regatta preparation. Record, organize, and maintain training and performance data. Perform additional coaching and program-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred; current collegiate rowers with relevant experience will be considered. Competitive rowing experience preferred. Knowledge of rowing technique, training methods, and physical conditioning. Experience working with high school-aged students preferred. High standards of character, integrity, professionalism, and adaptability. Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. General Expectations Demonstrate and actively support The Bolles School's mission and core values. Represent the School in a professional and positive manner at all times. Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, faculty, staff, officials, and the broader community. Support and promote the Athletics Department's vision of developing student-athletes who are "Humble in Victory and Gracious in Defeat." Perform other duties as assigned in support of the rowing program and Athletics Department. Qualifications

Requirements

A bachelor's degree is preferred, though current collegiate rowers with relevant experience are considered. Candidates should have competitive rowing experience and a history of working with high school students.
