  • TeamSUMMARY: The Tutor reports to the Director of Youth Development and will provide off-field education support to the Revolution Academy Residency Players.

Duties and Responsibilities

Track student-athletes’ online school progress, including overseeing completion of assignments and classes Help student-athletes communicate with their online school and teachers Provide guidance and support with academics as needed Complete weekly check-ins with every student-athlete that utilizes tutor services Collaboratively create class and assignment schedules with student-athletes Educate student-athletes on NCAA eligibility and guidelines Facilitate scheduling of state-mandated testing for student-athletes Regularly communicate with Academy Director with necessary academic updates Special projects and assignments as business dictates. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree required 3+ years of experience teaching or tutoring 2-4 years of experience providing well-being support in a residency setting or relevant Effective communication skills, oral and written Demonstrated time management skills Organized and attentive to detail Ability to effectively adjust to needs and changing schedules Must be able to travel and work nights/weekends as required Bi-lingual (English and Spanish / Portuguese) preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel The employee frequently is required to talk or hear The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position may require work on nights and weekends CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Massachusetts Teaching License Valid Driver’s License SafeSport OTHER DUTIES Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
