We are seeking a passionate 4K Teacher to lead one of our Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) partnership classrooms and help young children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
This is a on-site position based in Madison, Wisconsin. The role works closely with children, families, teaching staff, and MMSD partners to provide a high-quality early learning experience. The school-year position also offers the opportunity to work in our summer early childhood program for additional compensation.
What You'll Do As a 4K Teacher, you will create a welcoming, engaging classroom where children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. Working alongside your teaching team, you will develop developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support children's academic, social-emotional, and physical growth while preparing them for success in kindergarten.
Plan and implement engaging weekly lesson plans using developmentally appropriate practices and Creative Curriculum. Foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom where every child feels valued and supported. Support children's literacy, math, social-emotional development, and school readiness. Observe children's development, complete required assessments, and document progress through portfolios and district reporting systems. Work with teaching team to ensure all families are regularly receiving updates of their child’s growth and successes in program. Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication, conferences, and ongoing collaboration. Organize required parent-teacher conferences and support parent meetings, as needed. Attend weekly staff meetings and childcare all staff meetings. Collaborate with Goodman early childhood staff and MMSD partners to ensure high-quality programming. Maintain compliance with Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements, City of Madison accreditation standards, and MMSD 4K expectations.
