The After Care Assistant will supervise and engage students in grades K-5 by leading age-appropriate activities such as crafts, games, and STEM projects. They are also responsible for maintaining a safe environment, managing daily routines like snack time and transitions, and communicating effectively with families and staff.
$17–$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Responsibilities ● Supervise and actively engage with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade during the after-school program. ● Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, STEM activities, outdoor play, and other enrichment opportunities. ● Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels supported. ● Encourage positive behavior and model kindness, respect, and responsibility. ● Build positive relationships with students while promoting teamwork and social development. ● Assist with daily routines, including attendance, snack time, transitions, and dismissal. ● Set up and clean up activity spaces and materials. ● Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and fellow staff members. ● Follow all school policies and safety procedures. Qualifications ● Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred. ● Enthusiastic, energetic, patient, and dependable. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. ● Comfortable leading both indoor and outdoor activities. ● CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain) Why Join Our Team?
