The YMCA of Southern Nevada is looking for an Assistant Preschool Teacher to help the lead teacher with managing classroom activities and encouraging the children throughout the day. This is a full-time in-person position located at the Durango Hills YMCA. ABOUT NEVADA READY: Nevada Ready! State pre-K (NR!PK) is a state funded pre-kindergarten program designed to support 4-year-old children whose families have a household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. NR!PK implements high-quality practices through a variety of program requirements including highly qualified teachers, developmentally appropriate curriculum and inclusive learning environments.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least six semester hours of early or elementary childhood study. Two years of experience in early or elementary childcare is preferred, and candidates must be at least 18 years old.
