About the role

The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and leading daily classroom activities while creating a safe and engaging environment for children. They also manage classroom routines, conduct child assessments, and provide guidance to the Associate Teacher.

ECE Subhub is hiring a full-time GSRP Lead Teacher to support Bussey Early Childhood Center with Southfield Public Schools. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead their own classroom and build long-term experience in early childhood education.

Our team provides training, guidance, and ongoing support so you can feel confident in the classroom.

As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and leading daily classroom activities and creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities may include developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with program curriculum, leading daily routines and transitions, completing child observations, assessments, and documentation, guiding and supporting the Associate Teacher in the classroom, supervising children to keep them safe, building positive relationships with children and families, and maintaining a warm and professional classroom presence.

This position is a good fit for someone who wants consistent, full-time weekday work in one classroom and is ready to take ownership of their own classroom community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development

CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification is preferred.

Requirements
